Teach Your Children Well

There's real benefit in educating children about horticulture, gardening and flowers when they're young. Not only does it teach them to respect the land and those who work on it, but they come to understand the order of life at its most basic level. There's nothing like passing the joy of caring for flowers onto the next generation. With any luck that will mean a greener world for all of us.

Coloring trees is such a wonderful concept for kids. It can be used as an excellent learning tool for them. You can have several apples arranged on a tree in rows. You can have the child color the apples and place names there to build a family tree. The child and the siblings can go on the top row. The next row can be for the parents and then the next one for the grandparents and so on.
