As a life-long animal lover and cat and dog owner, I'm a little partial to these vintage animal Christmas cards. Some of these antique holiday cards date back to the beginning of the 20th century, which is proof that animal images have always been popular. Animals symbolize warmth and happiness, so what better time to feature them than at Christmas?

These vintage Christmas greeting cards feature mostly dogs and cats, but you can also find a few birds and one very unusual card that features monkeys playing pool while frogs look on. What that has to do with Christmas, I don't know. But it's adorable, so who cares?
